A typical process server takes legal papers to someone’s door, knocks, waits, and leaves. If the person wants to be served, the person opens the door and takes the papers, but what happens when the person does not want to be served? They simply don’t open the door.

  • Everyone likes to get a package. A process server in a delivery driver uniform often gets the target to open the door.
  • Curiosity opens doors. A process server carrying a dog, wearing a bikini, or holding balloons does not look like a process server, so a curious target will open the door.
